Why did I write Disturbed Tombs as my first book? Two reasons: I love archaeology, and I started wondering about something that felt both fascinating and unsettling.
We excavate ancient tombs, open sealed chambers, and remove mummies that have rested undisturbed for thousands of years. Yet, when it comes to our own cemeteries, we consider graves sacred and protected. So I began to wonder: Are we disturbing the ancient dead simply because they lived thousands of years ago? And if so, where do we draw the line between archaeological discovery and disturbing someone’s final resting place?
That question became the spark for Disturbed Tombs—and ultimately, the beginning of my writing journey.

As the story developed, I realized the fear would go far beyond being found guilty. An innocent author might fear the prison waiting for them. The attorney might fear failing to free a client he knows is innocent. The detective might fear that he has arrested the wrong person. And, of course, the real killer would be living with the fear of being caught.
In the end, the story became about more than solving a murder. It became a story about fear—the different fears we carry, the choices they make us question, and how far we will go to escape them.
